Harrison Ford suffered an ankle injury on the set of the latest “Star Wars” movie. The actor, now 71, was hospitalized on Wednesday for the injury. Mr. Ford was at Pinewood Studios in England when a hydraulic door reportedly fell down and hit him on the ankle, possibly fracturing it.
Shortly after he was airlifted to a hospital. A statement from Disney read, “He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care.”
“Star Wars: Episode VII” is scheduled to be released on December 18, 2015 starring Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and directed by J. J. Abrams.
